NAOMI BARGHIEL lives in Toronto Ontario and is completing a degree in Media Information and Technoculture with a minor in Creative Writing at Western University. She will be going into her third year of university in the 2019/2020 academic year.
CHRIS CHANG is a second year with a Honor's Specialization in English Language and Literature. RACHEL FAWCETT is a third-year student in Honours Specialization in Creative Writing, English Language and Literature with a Major in Classical Studies. Throughout her schooling she has developed a love for writing, in particular, poetry. This love first developed in sixth grade when her teacher held a month-long poetry unit where the class learned fifteen styles of poems. Since then she has been writing for school and herself. Her first publication came in seventh grade in the 2012 poetry anthology titled, Hello, Mr. Moon by Young Writers Canada. AIDAN GUGULA is a third years student enrolled in the Film Studies Major module and the Creative Writing minor at the University of Western Ontario. He was inspired to write this piece when he was given a prompt that challenged him to incorporate his stream of consciousness into every day life. ALICIA JOHNSON is a fourth year Honours Specialization in Creative Writing and English Language and Literature student at Western University. KEATON OLSEN is completing a degree in Political Science with a minor in Writing Studies. MATTHEW SIMIC is a third year English and Creative Writing student at Western. He is interested in writing form poetry as he believes it is somewhat of a lost art. He also thinks that the use of form is an effective way compartmentalize ideas and forces one to be disciplined with word choice. SHAUNA RUBY VALCHUK is a Creative Writing student at Western University, trying to find the line between what's real and what's corny. TEAGAN WILDER has loved creating stories and alternate world since she was a young child. While Tegan has chosen to pursue chemistry for her degree, writing remains a passion of hers. Tegan uses her science knowledge to help her write fiction stories inspired by the problems facing the world today. RACHEL YAN is a fourth year student majoring in Accounting in the BMOS program and minoring in Creative Writing at Western University. She likes to take inspirations from daily life and put her own creative spin on it. She hopes to make people laugh, smile, and find themselves in the characters and scenarios she creates in her stories. HYACINTH ZIA is an English Literature major. She has spent most of her life shuffling between Bangladesh (her place of birth) and The U.S. |
