Tega Aror is a fourth year music student with a specialization in voice performance at Western University. She has spent the majority of her life engaged in the performing arts, but has also always taken a strong liking to creative writing. Her work has been published in a previous issue of Occasus as well as Fanshawe College's student paper, Interrobang.
Alex Barrowclough is entering his 4th and final year of Western (...at least for his undergraduate levels). He hopes to keep writing no matter where he ends up!
D'vorah Elias has written poetry for more than 45 years. She has recently started writing short stories.
Meaghan Furlano is a third-year student at Western University pursuing an Honours Specialization in Sociology and a Minor in Gender Studies. She resides in Ontario, Canada.
Kiran Gill is a student at Western hoping to become a prof, she sometimes writes ;)
Cassidy Gregorio is a first-year science student from London Ontario.
Karen Korstanje is in her third year of studies at Western University, and is currently pursuing an Honours Specialization in Creative Writing and English Language and Literature. Though she primarily writes short fiction, she's discovered a new appreciation for poetry while at Western.
Mahrukh Malik is a second year student at Western University in the BA Psychology Program, minoring in Creative Writing.
Alexandra Mohl just completed her first year in Health Sciences at the University of Western Ontario. Although pursuing a science degree, she has a passion for writing creative fiction, often drawing her inspiration from true stories.
Isabel Pasila is in her first year at Western University, where she is hoping to pursue the Honours Specialization in Creative Writing and English Language and Literature. Two of her experimental writing pieces were recently accepted into the 2022 spring volume of the Arts and Humanities Student Council publication, Symposium, and she has submitted a piece of micro-fiction for the 2022 Lillian Kroll Prize in Creative Writing. Isabel has been an avid reader and enthusiastic writer since childhood, drawing inspiration from Mary Oliver, Ocean Vuong, David Whyte, and Richard Siken, and aspires to publish volumes of poetry and other works in the future.
Hanna Shore recently completed her third year doing an Honours Specialization in Creative Writing and English Language and Literature at Western University. She loves writing fiction that focuses on urgent injustices around intersectional oppression.
Julien Tremblay is a third year student completing an Honours Specialization in Creative Writing and English Language and Literature. Currently, he is writing post-modern inspired fiction and creative nonfiction pieces.
Born and raised in Ottawa by Chinese immigrant parents, Eric Wei is currently a first-year economics student at the University of Western Ontario. He spends his spare time exploring his passion for music, teaching, and writing. You will most likely find him either playing piano, chatting with friends, going on a walk, playing chess, or, just like every other university student in existence, studying.
