RYAN BATES is in the Honours Creative Writing and English Language and Literature program, and, with a little luck, he'll be able to earn a Master's degree from U.W.O. in Journalism in the near future. KRISTA BELL is a fine artist who lives, works and studies in London, Ontario. With a double major in MIT/Visual Art, and a certificate in writing from Western University, Bell plans on applying for an MFA at Concordia University. RAQUEL FARRINGTON is a third year English student minoring in Creative Writing. RACHEL GANZEWINKEL is a graduating fourth year Honors English student taking a minor in Creative writing. She has been published in The Regis, Nome de Plume, The Grapevie, and Openwide. She has been an editor and write for the website We Eat Films, and has served as a Rusty Reader. JOSH GARRETT is currently an undergrad at the University of Western Ontario. His major is Bioarchaeological Anthropology; his minors are Writing Studies and the Philosophy of Science. He's an avid writer of poetry, and enjoys writing about anything from physics to bus stops. Whatever sounds cool at the moment. DEVIN GOLETS is a 4th year student studying MIT and achieving a Writers Certificate at Western University. This fall marked the first time in his life he did not play competitive hockey. MITCHELL KEMP is going into his fourth year of Western's BFA honours specialization. His website is http://mitchellkemp.wix.com/mitchellkemp. YULIA LOBACHEVA is a Russian-Canadian artist and writer. She has recently completed her BFA. ALEXANDER MARTIN is a fourth year student from Waterloo, Ontario, enrolled in the Honours Specialization in English Language and Literature and Creative Writing program. He is currently completing an Honours Thesis in Creative Writing. He is the winner of the Lillian Kroll Prize for 2012-2013. He plans to proceed to graduate school to earn an MFA in writing. ERICA MCKEEN is a first year student at Western. KATHARINE O'REILLY is currently pursuing a specialization in Creative Writing and English. She has been previously published in Occasus (Issue 2). She is the first prize winner for the 2014 Alfred R. Poynt Award in Poetry. TIFFANY SHEPHERD is a third year exchange student from Leeds University studying Classical and English Literature. JONAS TROTTIER is an undergraduate student at Western studying Biology and Theatre. He enjoys the creative exercise of writing, as it gives him reason to dwell on aspects of his environment and experience that he might otherwise take for granted. VICTORIA WIEBE is a first year student at Western University, with an intended major of Psychology with a minor in Creative Writing. Writing has always been her passion, penning three novel-length works (two of which, Continuum and The Lonely Hearts, have been published), as well as countless poems. She will serve as President of Creative Writing Club for the 2014-2015 year, as well as editor-in-chief of Nom de Plume literary magazine. ERIC ZADROZNY is headed into his fifth and final year at Western and is pursuing an Honours Specialization in English literature and creative writing. Next year, he will be working on a thesis project where he plans to construct a metro narrative composed of poems that re-imagine and invert his experiences of growing up in Hamilton Ontario. |
