SAM BOER is a student of English, Writing, and Music at Western University by day, and a songwriter and performer by night. His poetry has been published in undergraduate journals such as Symposium and Semi-Colon, and his essay on the musical minimalism movement was published in the national undergraduate journal Nota Bene. He co-wrote and acted in a short play in the Toronto Fringe festival in the summer of 2015 titled "This is Not Porn," and he has performed original musical material all across Ontario, from the main stage of the Hillside Festival to the Silver Dollar Room in Toronto, as both a solo musician and as a member of various bands. CHELSEA BRIMSTIN is entering her third year of an Honour's Specialization in Creative Writing & English Language and Literature with a Minor in Mathematics. SYDNEY BROOMAN is a second year student completing an Honours Specialization in English Language & Literature and Creative Writing. MATTHEW CARR is a fourth year student currently studying English literature with a minor in creative writing. DEJVI DASHI is a Western University student in 2nd year Bio Sci. RACHAEL HOFFORD is studying English Literature at Western. ELANA KATZ is a first year student at the University of Western Ontario pursuing an Honors Specialization in English and Writing and a Major in the School for Advanced Studies in Arts and Humanities. ERICA MCKEEN is a third year student at Western. She was previously completing an Honors Specialization in Creative Writing and English Language Literature, but recently decided to take a less restrictive and altogether more dangerous route: art without an academic degree behind it. Her short story, "Our Eyes, Our Tongue," won the 2016 Lillian Kroll prize in creative writing, and her work has been previously published in Shirley Magazine, Minola Review, Green Blotter, The Voices Project, The Quilliad, This Dark Matter, Nom de Plume, and the fourth and fifth issues of Occasus. BRITTANY RENAUD was born in Chatham, Ontario and hopes to graduate with an Honours Specialization in Creative Writing and English Language and Literature as well as a minor in Comparative Literature and Culture. R. A. ROBINSON is 4th year English student at Western. His current interests are in postcolonial literature. He hopes in the future to look at Afrofuturism in literature in his graduate studies. If not, he will continue to pursue his career in music as R. Flex. This year, he is releasing a mixtape called "Hologram" in March and an EP called "Restart" in the summer. He currently hosts Rainbow Radio at CHRW 94.9 on Monday nights at 10. And this year, he is excited to MC Opening Ceremonies for Black History Month on behalf of the Black Students Association and coordinate an all day broadcast called "All Black Everything" for CHRW. ELIZABETH SAK is a first year student with an appreciation of words. BRITTANY TILSTRA is a fourth year student at Western who is graduating in October. ESTHER VAN GALEN is pursuing an Honours Specialization in MIT and a minor in Writing. NATHAN WRIGHT-EDWARDS is an honors Specialization MIT student with a minor in creative writing. |
